SOPEMEA has 8 sites in France and one in the UK and covers the aeronautics, energy and nuclear, defence, rail, space, automotive and medical markets.

 

For its site in Vélizy (78), SOPEMEA is looking for
a Mechanical test engineer (M/F)

MISSION


Within the mechanical testing laboratory, your main missions will be : 


  • The preparation of tests:
    • Identification of existing tooling,
    • Appropriation of best practices and tips for the choice of mechanical fixtures,
    • Participation in feasibility and costing requests from the sales department,
    • Deepening of piloting methods.

  • Carrying out tests:
    • Reading and analysis of customer specifications,
    • Preparation and implementation of vibration tests,
    • Mechanical assembly (use of overhead crane) and instrumentation (accelerometers),
    • Technical reporting in the test files,
    • Formalisation of programme modifications after validation,
    • Writing of test reports in French and English.

 

  • Assistance in the organisation of the department:
    • Verification and validation of test reports carried out by other department staff,
    • Assistance and advice to customers,
    • Drafting of test procedures relating to the department.
    • Follow-up and implementation of certain investment projects.

PROFILE


This position is open to candidates with a mechanical engineering background and a minimum of 2 years' experience, or a DUT in physical measurements with 10 years' experience in vibration. Knowledge of electrohydraulic vibrations would be a plus. 
English language skills are desirable.
