SOPEMEA (220 employees, 23.3 million euros in turnover), a subsidiary of the APAVE Group, is one of Europe's largest private environmental testing laboratories involved in the study and qualification of equipment, sub-systems and systems for high-tech industries. For more than 70 years, SOPEMEA has been offering its clients a complete range of testing services for all types of materials and equipment in the mechanical, vibratory, climatic, electrical, hydraulic, electromagnetic and radio compatibility fields. SOPEMEA has 8 sites in France and one in the UK and covers the aeronautics, energy and nuclear, defence, rail, space, automotive and medical markets.

For its site in Vélizy (78), SOPEMEA is looking for

a Test Engineer (M/F)


Within the electrodynamic vibration department, you will be responsible for : 
Carrying out vibration tests:


  • Reading and analysis of customer specifications,
  • Preparation and implementation of vibration tests,
  • Mechanical set-up (using an overhead crane) and instrumentation (accelerometers),
  • Technical reporting in the test files,
  • Formalisation of programme modifications after validation,
  • Writing of test reports in French and English.
  • Technical assistance to the client and support throughout the service,

Preparation of vibration tests:

  • Identification of existing tools,
  • Appropriation of best practices and tips for the choice of mechanical assemblies,
  • Participation in feasibility and costing requests from the sales department,
  • Deepening of management methods.

Organisation and management of the department:


  • Participation in the management of the department (ERP, maintenance, metrology, improvement projects, etc.),
  • Verification and validation of test reports,
  • Drafting of test procedures relating to the department.


You have a technical engineering background, with or without experience, ideally with a mechanical background, and you enjoy both theory and practice. 

Your qualities :


  • Good relationship with customers. 
  • Rigour, autonomy, organisation and teamwork. 
  • Mastery of the usual office automation tools is essential.
  • Good command of technical English essential.
