Supporting advanced drone technologies

To meet the demanding standards of the defence, aerospace and industrial markets, the Apave Group, through its specialist subsidiary Sopemea, has entered into a partnership with Aerix Systems, renowned for its technological agility and modular aerial robotics.
It was at the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition that the Apave Group formalised this strategic alliance with Aerix Systems, a leading expert in the field of military and civilian drones.
Aerix Systems designs next-generation multi-mission solutions, renowned for their native multi-directional technological agility, their system-agnostic operation and their flexible payload integration.
By combining our expertise with Aerix Systems’ innovations, this alliance paves the way for the deployment of high-performance robotic solutions.
Three pillars underpinning innovation
The Apave Group, through its specialist subsidiary Sopemea, is joining forces with this leading partner to pool their expertise across three key areas and related services:
- Sopemea and Apave Certification provide support for certification and environmental testing (support for CE marking, including tests to meet the requirements of the EMC Directive, RED and DBT, as well as specific tests in partnership with CESA (Centre d’Essais en Vol)). Comprehensive technical support and the performance of the required tests ensure regulatory compliance and bring equipment and systems into compliance.
- Oppida, specialising in software and hardware security assessment, offers a rigorous analysis of system architecture, alongside robustness and cybersecurity testing for all products developed by Aerix Systems.
- Joint development of use cases with the Apave Group’s Technical and Innovation Department, for the adaptation and integration of specific payloads, in order to carry out complex inspection missions (ultrasonic measurements, infrared (IR) imaging, detection of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)). These technologies will be applied in particular to their flagship platforms, ranging from the AXS-S1 aerial robot to the ultra-compact, omnidirectional AXS-µ1 drone designed for confined spaces.
