Goals

The objectives of the training The fundamentals of climate testing :

By the end of this training course, participants will have gained a realistic and relevant understanding of the various orders of magnitude in physics, will be able to conduct and analyze a test campaign, and will be able to optimize the test design and its execution.

The goal of this training is to:
• Use the physical parameters of a structure’s climatic environment
• Determine the appropriate measurement and testing methods based on the test program
• Understand the requirements of testing standards
• Participate in conducting climate tests
• Analyze test results

Program

1/ Clarify the fundamentals
Revisit physical quantities and their reality
Illustrate the concepts of temperature, pressure and humidity coupling


2/ Identify testing methods.
Interpret the capacities and performance of different chambers.
Select measurement sensors based on the climatic constraints of the test.


3/ Understand the requirements of standards
Present the different types of tests (dry and humid heat, salt spray, depressions, thermal shocks, etc.) and their objectives


4/ Monitor and analyse a test campaign
Know the parameters required to carry out the tests: equipment and facilities
Understand the management strategy: limitations, constraints
Analyse the results of measurements and anomalies in the equipment, based on specific cases
