GERAC testing and engineering joins Sopemea

10/04/2019
From October 2019, 44 GERAC employees from the Toulouse and Trappes sites have come to reinforce the skills of the Sopemea teams, offering players in the aeronautics, defence, rail, energy, automotive, medical and electronics sectors comprehensive services.

Sopemea, a subsidiary of Apave, which in France and the United Kingdom has seven entities specialising in qualification and environmental testing and a training centre, has just formalised the acquisition of the laboratories and engineering activities of GERAC (Thales), experts in the control of electromagnetic environments.

As of October, 44 GERAC employees from the Toulouse and Trappes sites have joined Sopemea's teams, offering comprehensive services to players in the aerospace, defence, rail, energy, automotive, medical and electronics sectors.

Following the integration of AEMC and AEMC Lab in January 2019, specialising in EMC testing and training, Sopemea completes and enriches its offer with GERAC, thanks to the following synergies:

  • On-site EMC measurements and tests
  • High field immunity tests
  • Measurements in the defence and aeronautical fields
  • Engineering and support for EMC projects
  • EMC training on military measurements and pulse tests
  • CE marking
  • Direct and indirect lightning tests
