Robot in a EMC cage

Sopemea qualifies Naïo technologies agricultural robots

Top News02/07/2023

Ted, Jo, Oz and Orio have been tested at Sopemea. These advanced agricultural assistants from Naïo Technologies joined our Trappes and Toulouse sites in pairs to validate their electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests required for CE and FCC marking.

These RTK GPS-guided robots provide centimetre-level precision in crop weeding. They require controlled remote control for the safety of users, crops and systems at the heart of their activities.

Our teams assisted the client in the choice of reference systems (standards and directives) up to the submission of test reports.

EMC tests carried out in Trappes and Toulouse depending on the size of the robots

The radiated measurement tests verify that the electric field levels emitted by the robots do not exceed the maximum limits tolerated by legislation.

The radiated immunity tests have shown that the robots are sufficiently resistant to electric fields to be able to continue working without being disturbed.

These remotely programmed robots must be able to carry out their tasks without risk to users and operations.

Successful electrostatic discharge testing prevents the robot from malfunctioning or breaking during physical intervention by the user.

Ted carries out weed control work in the vineyards

Oz works agricultural soils autonomously
and quickly thanks to its GPS guidance system

Jo weaves its way through the vines
for multipurpose soil actions

Orio is a tool carrier for vegetable
and field crops

Sopemea is proud to have hosted these four high precision robots in vineyard harvesting and agricultural assistance and thus contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for the environment.

Our extensive testing capabilities allow our customers to qualify equipment of all sizes; we can respond in a responsive and optimal manner to their planning constraints and ensure rapid market launch of their equipment.
